British Agility Winter Series General Rules

  • Open to all levels and grade of dog.
  • Dogs must be 18 months of age to compete.
  • All Competition runs will take place on one day.
  • Separate competition for each of the 4 height categories.
  • Handlers must run in strict running orders in all rounds of the British Agility Winter Series. Failure to do so will result in elimination.

British Agility Winter Series Scoring

  • Qualification rounds - faults will be turned into time, (e.g. – 5 Faults = 5 seconds.)
  • Time faults will be added on a 1:1 ratio for all classes in this event.
  • Eliminations will incur 200 faults.
  • Results from each heat will be added together to determine the overall placings.
  • The top 15 dogs from each height, after all rounds, will score Series Ranking Points as long as the handlers meets the Minimum Eligibility Requirements of no more than 50 combined faults at any one Leg to be able to score BAS ranking points.

Point System/Results

The goal is to provide an ever-changing leader board to drive continued interest and a competitive nature throughout the series.
  • The final ranking of handlers in the British Winter Series will be made by accumulation of the points according to the points scale below that have been gained at each of the series legs. An accumulation of Time and Faults from each individual run at each of the legs will determine the handlers ranking at that leg.
  • The Handlers must meet the Minimum Eligibility Requirements of (no more than 50 combined faults at any one leg) to be able to score BAS Ranking Points.

In the event of equality between two or more Handler, the classification is decided by
1. The agility results (Time & Faults) from Leg 2 & Leg 4 being added together.

British Agility Refund Policy:
Participants that cannot attend a British Agility event due to local or national lockdowns, being in a situation similar to “tier 3 restricted area”, or have been around anyone that has tested positive for Covid 19 or have been tested positive for covid 19 themselves within 14 days of the event will not receive any form of refund or compensation for their entries.

If the British Agility event can not go ahead due to National or Local lockdown restrictions competitors will receive a refund, minus an admin fee of £3 per entry.
